Our Inclusive Education through our SpEd program ensures that all learners, regardless of their abilities or background, have access to quality education, which the same is their basic right. By providing specialized resources, teacher training, and advocacy, we work to eliminate the barriers that prevent marginalized children from learning.

Young adults with disabilities and those from marginalised communities often struggle to get an education due to a lack of support and resources. At SSHJM, we believe every learner has value and deserves the chance to gain both academic and practical skills to help them live independently and with confidence.

We provide hands-on learning, vocational training, and personalised lessons, including self-care activities, small-scale gardening, and educational trips. Our approach goes beyond academics, helping learners build life skills, social connections, and independence. By working closely with families, teachers, and the community, we create a space where every learner is not just included but truly valued.

Without education and skill-building opportunities, their future choices remain limited. But we believe that inclusive education not only supports these young people but also enriches the learning experience for everyone, promoting understanding, acceptance, and diversity. At SSHJM, we are dedicated to removing barriers so that every learner regardless of ability or background can reach their full potential.

At SSHJM, we create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for young adults with disabilities and those from marginalised communities. Our approach focuses on personalised learning, hands-on experiences, and life skills development to help each learner reach their full potential. We tailor lessons to suit individual abilities and needs, ensuring they receive the right support to grow academically and practically. Through real-life tasks, vocational training, and interactive activities such as small-scale gardening, self-care lessons, and educational trips, we provide meaningful learning experiences that go beyond the classroom.

Beyond academics, we emphasise essential life skills like communication, teamwork, and self-care, helping learners gain confidence and independence. Collaboration is at the heart of what we do, we work closely with families, teachers, and the wider community to create a safe and welcoming space where every learner is valued. Most importantly, we believe in empowering young people by giving them the tools they need to succeed in education, work, and daily life. Through this approach, we help our learners build knowledge, skills, and confidence to create a brighter future.

The Sisters of the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary- Cebu (SSHJM-Cebu) offers equal opportunities for quality education that supports individuals with neurodevelopmental disabilities, leading to improved learning outcomes through our Special Education Program. We are committed to fostering an inclusive education environment while empowering learners with skills and knowledge that support them to live independently. We aim to optimize their potential, improve their developmental learning, implement inclusive internship practices, and transition to employment.
